The Chorale’s season of remembrance concludes with music honoring the soldiers of World War II – the Greatest Generation – along with a salute to all veterans. A variety of music will be presented: compositions celebrating the end of war, pieces heralding a new and peaceful world order, and popular music of the 1940’s. This concert will premiere the repertoire that members of the Chorale will perform on their tour to France and Belgium in June 2020. To honor the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, the tour will include memorial concerts and worship services at D-Day landing sites on the coast of Normandy.
