The 48th concert season of the Larimer Chorale has an overarching theme of resilience, and it promises to be an exciting one!
We open with J.S. Bach's Magnificat and Other Songs of the Soul, featuring a professional orchestra and a wide range of musical styles, including Ola Gjeilo's "Luminous Night of the Soul" and a set of powerful African-American spirituals - all about the soul. In December we will again present our Candlelight Christmas concerts with carols old and new, guest musicians, spoken word, and the Dickens Carolers of the Larimer Chorale. What a great holiday tradition!
In February we will perform the emotional and touching oratorio, Annelies, based on the Diary of Anne Frank. It will mark 80 years since Anne died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Our season concludes with one of the most cherished monuments in all of classical music, Johannes Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem, performed with professional orchestra and soloists.
Please join the dedicated members of the Chorale for these four powerful concerts of outstanding choral music!
The Larimer Chorale is one of the largest and most accomplished avocational choral ensembles in the Colorado Rocky Mountain Region. We are an auditioned, adult choir that was created by our community, for our community. Through our concerts, events, and outreach activities, we actively demonstrate that singing is a life-long endeavor that brings fulfillment and enrichment to singers and audiences alike. We sing for the joy it brings to us and our audiences and out of a deep dedication to music and our community.
