Chet sang with the Larimer Chorale from1981 to 2015. He attended the University of California at Davis, majoring in entomology. In graduate school, he studied the mosquito that today is a major vector of West Nile virus, Culex tarsalis. After 7 years in San Juan, working throughout the Caribbean, Chet transferred to the CDC lab in Ft. Collins in 1981. After “retiring” from the CDC, he joined the Dept. of Microbiology, Immunology & Pathology at CSU, where he taught, conducted research, and supervised graduate student research for another 10 years. He retains his office at CSU and continues to write, advice students, and volunteer.
